The concept of a ‘Sound Tasting’ is that are participants are invited to see, and especially hear and feel, how JMC Lutherie revolutionized the way of listening to music in the 21st century. The concept of contemporary Lutherie reflects the alliance between the traditional Lutherie techniques established more than 100 years ago and the modern technology as well as bringing together 350 years old resonance spruce and actual materials.
During the ‘Sound Tasting’ experience, the spectators are virtually taken into to the magnificent Risoud Forest to discover the tree gatherer and the luthier, including the explanations of the traditional and actual Lutherie techniques. The participants also experience the JMC Soundboard, the loudspeaker made out of tonewood, and the other creations of the Swiss company. Developed as true musical instruments, they offer an exceptional, emotional and unique musical experience underlining the brand philosophy: transforming the sound into music. Over the past 12 years, Céline Renaud performed at over 2,500 speeches, conferences and shows like the famous ‘Sound Tasting’ on the most prestigious scenes where she guided the participants during an emotional and musical journey. In addition, she has been guest speaker on various topics at Forums, Board of Directors meetings, company outings and private events worldwide.
Céline Renaud was chosen among the 100 personalities of the French speaking part of Switzerland, one of the 20 most important businesswomen of Switzerland, and one of the 100 Women in Business. She was recently part of the group of the 150 women who occupy top positions in small and medium businesses.
Born in 1975, Céline Renaud graduated from the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, the world’s leading Hotel Management University. She started her professional career at the marketing department of Jaeger LeCoultre and was financial controlling responsible at Breguet before establishing JMC Lutherie. Today, she assumes other responsibilities such as Board member of a regional bank or as Delegate of the Chamber of Commerce of the Vaud Canton.
